Cook: Stir Fry

As I had mentioned...I made stir-fry! It was easy and delicious and I cannot believe I have waited so long to try out the recipe.

For those of you that do not know my charming, handsome, groom-to-be...he enjoys a good meal. In fact he has told me that he loves looking forward to a delicious dinner. He has never enjoyed Asian food, even wincing at the thought of PF Changs (YUM). This being said, when I mentioned that I wanted to make stir-fry this week he turned up his nose. Ever since Monday when I picked up most of the ingredients at the store he has been begging me to not make it. Even this morning he asked if we could have a good lunch in case he didn't like dinner.

Once he realized there was no turning back he told me if I made some garlic bread with it he would stop complaining. I agreed and started making the rice, followed by the veggies: carrots, broccoli, snow peas, and red bell pepper. I figured it was even as I like the pepper and the broccoli (although I love all vegetables) and he likes peas and carrots. He came in the kitchen and told me how good it looked and smelled and told me he was so proud of me for being so brave. He also told me that if I liked the recipe he would buy me a wok (YES).

Once it was all said and done it looked delicious and smelled wonderful.

I served it up...garlic bread and all (maybe take-out restaurants will add it to the menu) and he actually looked intrigued. I told him he can give me all of his pepper/broccoli. He shook his head and ate every piece! I was completely shocked. 2 hours ago he had told me he dislikes soy sauce, ginger, broccoli, and pepper!!!!

He kept telling me how good it was and that he wanted more. Although he said he was proud of me...I was actually more proud of him! I see me making this for years to come...
